New York Jazz Workshop has classes for every level, from beginner to advanced. Iif you are a student just starting to improvise or a professional wanting to sharpen your skills, we have a class for you. New York Jazz Workshop runs both intensive four-day workshops as well as weekly two-hour classes. New York Jazz Workshop, Inc. uses a unique methodology designed to simplify the learning of jazz through ear training, melodic, harmonic and rhythmic exercises as well as group and individual performances. Our New York City location offers students an exceptional learning environment, providing fantastic jazz offerings, and opportunities to both observe and participate in live performances and jam sessions.
While our primary focus is on jazz, we believe that the skills we provide in our classes are universal and invaluable for any style of music from pop and rock to classical and contemporary.
