New York Jazz Workshop is dedicated to create opportunities for musicians, amateurs and professionals alike, to get together and play in a band setting under guidance of a world-class faculty.
A series of workshops is been offered that inspires students to move on to the next level. May it be Bebop, the Blues, African drumming, Jazz theory or Vocal, we have an ensemble for you that fits your interest and aspirations.
At the New York Jazz Workshop we have a unique register procedure. Classes will start as soon as enough students show interest. You can sign up for a class with no obligations. As soon as we have 4 or more students signed up for a class we will do the rest.
This unique approach also gives students the opportunity to request a specific class, even if it is not listed on our regular roaster. Are you interested in a New Orleans style ensemble or an Odd Meter ensemble? Let us know and we will get to work and make it happen.
The faculty consists of stellar musicians/educators, artists that have traveled the world. They are in the forefront of the Global Jazz Scene and have in depth knowledge in the specific subject matter that they are assigned to. Most of our faculty members are also associated with renowned conservatories in NYC (NYU, New School, Columbia University, MSM).
