How it works
Finding the right teacher is a challenge, but New York Jazz Workshop will help you make the right connection for your specific needs. There are several factors to consider before choosing your instructor: your skill level, your goals, your time constraints, and budget. We are here to help you break it all down and make the perfect connection.
We have an incredible roster of teachers in our database who are ready to guide the way. Not in the NYC area? No problem, we also offer Skype lessons..
Three student levels:
A)
Beginners.
B)
Intermediate.
C) Advanced.
The pricing varies per teacher:
1: $55.00 (A)
2: $70.00 (A/B/C)
3: $85.00
(B/C)
Duration: one hour.
Why different prices? Most of the teachers that accept advanced students are also affiliated with one of the conservatories in the NYC area (New School, NYU, Manhattan School of Music and Lincoln Center Jazz Program). The pricing reflects their experience and credentials. If you are in a beginner stage you do not need a teacher of that stature and expertise. All teachers in our program have to meet our strict criterias, this to insure that you get the quality and experience that you deserve.
For example:
-You are an intermediate student and would like 2 lessons with a teacher with the pricing nr.(2) = LEVEL B:2 = $140.00
-You are a beginner student and would like 4 lessons with a teacher with the pricing nr.(1) =
LEVEL A:1, =$220.00
