including the 2nd Annual Summer Summit Series.

Don't find the class that you are looking for? Contact us to get on the list of the class you are interested in. As soon as a minimum of 4 students has registered, the dates will be setup.

Ongoing Classes 2010-2011


The classes start as soon as we have a minimum of 4 students interested in the class. After signing up for a class (with no obligation) we will add you to the list of the classs in question. As soon as we have four students or more registered for the class we will contact you with the date and time.

Mondays at 7pm: Bebop Workshop for intermediate/advance. Location

Tuesdays at 7pm: Improvisation/Theory workshop for beginners/intermediate. Location

Tuesdays at 9pm: Polyrhythm/Mixed Meter workshop for intermediate/advanced/profl. Location

Sundays at 2pm: Playing the Blues for beginners/intermediate. Location

The New York Jazz Workshop is holding auditions for the following classes/bands:


Theory and Improvisation
Beginner and intermediate students.

Intermediate and advanced students.

Beginner, intermediate students.
Polyrhythm and Mixed Meters
Intermediate, advanced and professional students.

From 3 to 5 PM

If you are accepted in one of the bands/classes, there is a sign up fee of $45 and a monthly fee of $175.00. Groups that have been together three months will perform live in a New York City venue.
